Shandong Xingdi New Material Co Ltd, a manufacturer of polypropylene spunbond nonwoven fabrics, has started a new spunbond line in Zoucheng, China. The new line has an annual capacity to produce 12,000 tons of 3.2-metre fabric. The fabric manufactured in the new line would help in meeting the increased demand for making facemasks and protective gowns.

The new line can be used to deal with hydrophilic fraction, anti-static, anti-alcohol and anti-oil treatments. All the products have good fibre fineness and hand feeling. The cloth can be applied in medical fields, such as isolation gown, surgical gown, operation drapes and diapers.
